Never Ending Card

Wow, this week has been a challenge!  At work the plot thickens as we head towards fiscal year end and budgets. ( I actually love it, so don't take this negatively)  On the home front, as a stress release, I will make many cards(and such)... :)

I have completed the never ending card! Still camera shots just do not do it justice.  The next best thing would be come to the workshop on April 21st and see it for yourself! ( yes, I believe I now have the correct date, egads!)  Also, take a look at my "ATC" tab.  It contains my latest artistic venture.

Now here it is, the Never Ending Card... It has four sides and continues to open and fold from the first page to the last and back again.  Makes me sing that song; " I have a never ending love for you from now on..."  Bet you'll sing that song the rest of the day huh!, your welcome :)

I was so amazed that this card is only 4 pieces of paper!

Calendar/Dates/Time...

There is something very important all of you must know about your IPhone...it does not show holidays!  I would be perfectly happy without holidays, okay, maybe not.  Which brings me to the next calendar issue:  The workshop will not be on April 7th the day before Easter...As a matter of fact I will be in transit to pick up my lovely Grand babies :)  But, the good news is the workshop will be held on Saturday April 14th!  Hope your ready for some foldin'.

In the meantime I made this wonderful Dresser card.  The idea came from another Stampin'UP demonstrator. The card is easy and can be made for any occasion. I made one for my new nephew, Ryden, this weekend...but...I... did not take...a ....picture(cough). It was very cute though!

Another important note:  Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st.... so don't forget to place your orders!  For every $50 you spend you receive one free item from the Sal-a-Bration Catalogue.  Don't miss it!

Have a wonderful Day my crafty friends!

Where in the World is the Easel Card?

Tomorrow is now here...(ehem)  Sometimes our very busy lives take over and we lose track.  My husband and I commute to work an hour each way. Yes, in the day of telecommuting, we drive to work each day (egads).  Needless to say it really cuts into my fun time. Especially since we work 9 hour days on top of that.  So it is up at 4 am out the door at 6 am and home at 6 pm.  (ouch). Sometimes, if I am on top of things,  I can squeeze out a card between 4 am and 6 am :)  Usually though I am sitting at my craft table drinking coffee and muttering, literally.

But, on to it!  The easel card in all it's glory! I had fun creating all three of them and I do not think there is one that is my favorite over the other.  I have a ton more fun stuff to show you and can hardly contain myself, but, alas, I must be patient.

I made the card in two sizes for reasons I shall never divulge (hum, a muttering moment).
I hope you have enjoyed this card folding journey as much as I have.  I look forward to watching each workshop member create their own piece of art to share with someone special.

Now, all that is left is the "Never Ending Card".... no, wait! I have found more projects! Yes, that's right... We are going to have an extension of card folding workshops that will take us through to June!  For the May workshop I will share the Waterfall fold, Squash Card, and the Spinner Card, woohoo!
And as a special treat my Special Membership Stamp Club will begin in May.  If you are ready for the STAMP CLUB EXCLUSIVE MEMBERSHIP send me an email for sign up. The cost is $15.00 per month with a minimum  6 month commitment. You are guaranteed one fabulous project per month complete with supplies, instructions and assistance if you choose to come to the monthly Club Exclusive Members Only Workshop (the first Saturday of the month workshop is separate from the Membership workshop).  Not only that, if membership reaches 10,with a 10 month commitment,  a different member each month will receive 1-$25.00 stamp set! So sign up now and if you are one of the first 5 to sign up you will receive a free $15.00 stamp set of your choice from the HUGE Stampin'UP catalogue. (certain restrictions apply, please email me at LJDavisMEA@comcast.net for more information)

Enjoy the rest of your evening and I will see you back here real soon for a sneak peek at the Never Ending Card.

Cross Over Pocket Fold Card

Next on the workshop agenda is the cross over pocket fold card.  Having a variety of ways to create cards is a fun way to experiment and try new techniques.

I hope you are enjoying these fun card folds!  I look forward to sharing them with you at the workshop!

March Workshop comments/ April Workshop features

Here I am time change and all!  The March workshop was wonderful and all of the participants had a grand time making the double embossing their own.  Now if I could just get the doggone pictures off my iphone...
Everyone was so very creative and took the design and literally made it fantastic.

I certainly wish I had the option of producing one card a day, but alas, I do not.  I do belong to an online group and we swap cards frequently.  I recently joined a card swap featuring "Lighthouses".  Now, I do not own a light house stamp.  Or should I say I didn't own...  And if I must say so myself it turned out quite nice.

The image is Stampin' UP! stamp set # 120456 Uncharted Territory which I chalked  and inked by hand.

...and I drew the seagulls on the inside myself.  Additionally, I added two pictures I took of the Mendocino coastline in February when we went to pick up our grandchildren.

On Wednesday I will be in the March Bloghop so make sure you hope on by for the bloghop!  See you then!

Workshop Mania... Double Embossing

Well Friday isn't over yet! Here are a couple of the double embossing projects that we will create in our workshop tomorrow.  I saw this technique and fell in love with it.  It gave me just one more avenue of creativity! You will enjoy it as well.
The Double Embossing is created with the use of an embossing folder enhanced with embossing powder.  It is so clever and creates such a beautiful look!

I have also fallen in love with the butterfly stamp and punch, aren't they just lovely?

And last but never least, the tulip embossing folder, simple yet elegant.
(and that great butterfly stamp and punch!)

I know we will have tons of fun so I hope to see you tomorrow at Denny's on Herndon and Blackstone between 1 pm and 6 pm!
Happy creating!
