3D projects

I do love 3D projects.  Creating something from paper is a satisfying accomplishment.  This very simple box will make your valentine gift so very special. It was quick and easy.  The "Trinket Heart" is a great accent and can be found in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue along with the stamp set "P.S. I Love You" #125462 (c).

Come back tomorrow and I will share a very special valentine mini stationary set; complete with a window box that you can make yourself!

Valentine Overload, or Not

I have been on Valentine overload since the new Occasions Mini catalogue made its appearance.  Just too darn many cute stamps, embellishments and papers to choose from... With that in mind I want to share a valentine project, hopefully, one a day (we will see :))
I used the very delightful Twitterpated paper and buttons along with the the stamp set "P.S. I Love You"#125462 (c) and and "I{Heart} Hearts" #118571 (c) and last but not least I incorporated a beautiful antique brad.  The stamp for the inside of the card is "Bordering on Romance" #125482 (c)

I hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Well I have little time left to embrace my creativity before bedtime so I will say goodbye for now.

Paper Pal Arts Playtime!  This sketch was a challenge for me.  But in the end I won!  Stampin'UP has a cleaver stamp in the stamp set Pursuit of Happiness that states..."Everything will be okay in the end. If it isn't okay, it isn't the end."   I love that stamp!   It says it all.

I chose the "smart looking" Mocha Morning Specialty papers and used my earthy colors of ink and card stock. I was then able to include the antique brads to add some flair.  Here is the sketch.

And my card:

Mojo Monday 224!

Good Grief!  I almost forgot to post Mojo and it is almost time for another one...

I am in the middle of preparing "many" birthday cards for February and this one is for my son.  I used the sketch from Mojo; it fit perfectly. How old will my son be you asked?  Very good question :)
The second photo is a bit blurry, but it shows the inside of the window.
See you next Mojo!

Sunday Designer

I am the featured Sunday Designer over on Stampin Pretty!  I call this Simple Elegance.  Sometimes it is not about the paper but about the stamp.  Stampin'UP! carries exquisite high quality stamps that can stand alone on any card or scrapbook page. (I adore the new pleated ribbon that can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.)  Additionally, I scored the inside of the card using the simply scored tool!  I find the simply scored tool to be just as versatile as all of my Stampin'UP! products. In honor of "Love is in the Air" !
I absolutely love the Occasional mini products, well...what is not to love?  The very romantic stamp set is Bordering on Romance and the little hearts are...the "Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die".  There were so many items in the catalogue that I loved it was hard to pick just a few to use.  The finishing touch, I think, is the trinket hearts on the band that was fashioned around the card; very fine quality trinkets that made my card look very sophisticated.

Supplies used:
Stamps:  Bordering on Romance #125482 (c) #125480 (w), P.S. I love you #125462 (c) #125460 (w)
Paper:  Designer Series Paper Twitterpated, cardstock -  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Real Red and Pear Pizzazz
Embellishments:  Trinket Hearts # 125605, Embosslits Die Fashionable Hearts #125596, Framelits Dies Labels Collection #125598, Designer Brads Filigree #112577, Real Red 5/8 Satin Ribbon #117286

The color challenge for Pals Paper Arts is:  use Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla!  I combined this challenge with Mojo Monday with this result...

The stamp is from the new Occasions Mini Catalog and it is my favorite along with the Blossom Punch that puches it out beautifully.  Although, I think I purchased just about every stamp in the catalog because they were ALL so very lovely!  I also embossed the background paper with the textured impressions embossing folder "stripes" to give it some depth.

Papers:  Real Red, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla
Ink:        Real Red, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze

Stamps : Mixed Bunch # 125537(c) ,#125535 (w);  Loving Thoughts #125845 (c),125843 (w)  Both are in the Occasions Mini Catalog

Punches:  Blossom Punch #125603 (in the Occasions Mini Catalog) ; 3/4" circle punch # 119873 (in the Idea Book & Catalog)
